Saturday, January 16th is opening day for individual ticket sales for the National League Champion New York Mets Spring Training Games. There will be 14 home games at Tradition Field, beginning March 4 versus the Miami Marlins. Tickets will be on sale from 10am – 4pm.
Come out, select your seats, pick up your tickets, see what’s new, meet old friends and celebrate the return of New York Mets. It’s a full day of fun and excitement. National Anthem Tryouts will be held starting at 10:00 am. A baseball clinic for children 7-13 years old, will be held from 1:00-3:00 pm. Sign up for the Silver Sluggers and Kids Club programs. Get a hot dog and visit the Fan Shop for special sales on souvenirs.
The 2016 schedule will feature the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, St. Louis Cardinals and Detroit Tigers. The Washington Nationals, Miami Marlins, Houston Astros and Atlanta Braves will also visit Tradition Field. For the full schedule visit online at stluciemets.com.
Tradition Field is home to the New York Mets Spring Training Games and the St. Lucie Mets. It opened in 1988 and seats 7,000 fans. Spring Training games are played from March 4 through March 30. The St. Lucie Mets play in the Florida State League from April until September. They are the High-A affiliate of the New York Mets major-league club. They have won the Florida State League Championship five times (1988, 1996, 1998, 2003, and 2006).
