Stuart, Fl (treasurecoast.com)- The northbound Roosevelt Bridge will reopen this weekend with four lanes.
Updates from State Representative Toby Overdorf.
“June 24 – UPDATE – work has commenced on the north and south bridge landing for the new proposed traffic pattern. GOOD NEWS – after a full examination of data and safety thresholds, FDOT will be opening FOUR LANES of the northbound span to traffic (two lanes in either direction). The opening will happen this weekend! In the interest of safety, NO TRUCKS will be allowed on the bridge at this time (please note this does not mean pickup trucks).
There will be a new traffic plan at the area around Joan Jefferson Way and details on the plan will be published later. However, plan on using Colorado as your primary ingress and egress to downtown Stuart.
Dixie Highway work will commence this evening and consists of widening, drainage work, and new barriers. The work will last several days and Dixie will thus not open until sometime next week (most likely late in the week).
More details after tomorrow’s call.”
