New Tennis Pros Offer Variety of Youth Programs at Lawnwood Tennis Center
FORT PIERCE – Several group and individual lessons for youth tennis players are now available at the Lawnwood Tennis Center, thanks to new tennis pros Brian and Cheryl Golgart, owners of Flex Tennis.
Youth programs include:
- 10 & Under Tennis: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 – 6 p.m. for ages 6-10. Daily fee: $15 (resident); $20 (non-resident). Water is provided.
- High-Performance 10 & Under Tennis: Mondays and Wednesdays from 5 – 6 p.m. for ages 6-10. Daily fee: $15 (resident); $20 (non-resident). The head coach must approve each student for this class. Water is provided.
- Academy Tennis (beginners, intermediate and advanced): Mondays and Wednesdays at 6 – 7 p.m. for ages 11-17. Daily fee: $15 (resident); $20 (non-resident). Water is provided.
- High-Performance Academy Tennis: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 – 7 p.m. for ages 11-17. Daily fee: $15 (resident); $20 (non-resident). Designed specifically for accomplished students dedicated to improvement and competition, students in this class must be pre-approved by the head coach. Water is provided.
Classes will only be held if the minimum class size is met. Advanced registration is required. All fees are due at the time of service.
Individual youth lessons are available in single, double or triple groups starting at $50 per hour for ages 6 and older. Video Analysis and Whole Training are also available through Brian Golgart at 678-776-4541. Whole Training offers a complete conditioning consultation and individual customized training program that includes weight-training, speed work, endurance and nutrition. This program is designed for individuals wishing to compete in tournaments and competitive league matches. Video Analysis provides a professional critique of a specific lesson/match at the Lawnwood Tennis Center. Players must provide a memory card which will be returned to the player at the analysis completion. Price is based on length of recorded event.
