New developments in Horrific double murder case
Hadley will be resentenced and there will only be two options.
There are new developments in a horrific double murder case in Port St Lucie. An appeal court has thrown out the double life sentence that Tyler Hadley received after he was found guilty of beating his parents to death with a hammer.
Tyler Hadley, who killed his parents with a hammer in 2011, then threw a party with their bodies still in the bedroom, is getting a new sentencing hearing. The 4th District Court of Appeal ruled that because he was 17 at the time o the murders, he could not be automatically sentenced to life without parole.
The prosecutor says when Hadley is re-sentenced, the court will only have two options. Either a 40 year sentence. Or life in prison with a review of his sentence in 25 years to see if he should be released.
