National Voter Registration Day

Gertrude Walker, Supervisor of Elections for St. Lucie County announced her office will be participating in National Voter Registration Day (NVRD) on Tuesday, September 22nd.  This is a nationwide, nonpartisan effort to register voters for next year’s elections.

If you recently turned 18, are new to the area or have never voted, it’s your chance to register.  It’s easy and convenient with multiple locations open throughout the county.  You can register at:  Supervisor of Elections Main Office – Fort Pierce, Supervisor of Elections – Walton Rd, Supervisor of Elections – St. Lucie West Courthouse – Country Club Dr., Fort Pierce Downtown Library, Lakewood Park Library, Morningside Library, Zora Neale Hurston Library, Lawnwood Regional Medical Center, IRSC Main Campus – KSU, IRSC St. Lucie West Pruitt Campus, Port St. Lucie Civic Center or

Port St. Lucie Community Center.

“To vote in next year’s elections you must be a registered voter,” stated Ms. Walker.  “Every year there are people who can’t vote, because they failed to register.  Now is the time to check your voting status.  You can register at any of these locations on September 22nd or stop by our office 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
