Morningside Library’s Art History Lecture Paints a Picture of Van Gogh

PORT ST. LUCIE – Learn more about the man behind “The Starry Night” and “Vase with Fifteen Sunflowers” at the Morningside Branch Library’s Art History Lecture on Friday, Jan. 8 at 2 p.m.

Fred Dixon, author of “700 Years of Art History: Pre-Renaissance to Modernism,” will present “Van Gogh: From Abject Failure to Superstar.” Dixon studied for two years at the Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia and served there as a docent for three years. The Barnes Foundation holds one of the premier Impressionistic art collections in the United States.

This lecture is free and open to the public.
