Hobe Sound Mixed-Use Development
A mixed-use development is proposed for 9025 SE Bridge Road at the northeast corner of SE Bridge Road and SE Lares Avenue in Hobe Sound. Cotleur & Hearing on behalf of Bridge Road Center, LLC is seeking approval to construct approximately 4,399 square feet of restaurant and retail space, three apartment units, and six townhouses on a 0.64-acre site that currently contains a commercial building.
The project represents infill development in the Hobe Sound commercial corridor, combining retail activation with residential density on a compact site.
Federal Highway Apartment Projects
Two separate apartment and storage projects are under review along SE Federal Highway. A development at 9465 SE Federal Highway would include an approximately 16,049-square-foot residential storage facility and a 10-unit, two-story apartment building on 2.8 acres. The project by McCarty & Associates Land Planning & Design, LLC would achieve a density of 6.94 units per acre.
Further south, Baron Landings is proposing 302 residential units in three, three-story multifamily buildings on approximately 21.40 acres at 6801 S Kanner Highway, north of SE Cove Road. The development would achieve 14.47 dwelling units per acre under the Florida Live Local Act. An associated 16,374-square-foot commercial component in three buildings has been approved on 4.63 acres of the same property, which formerly housed the Golf World outdoor recreational facility.
Jensen Beach Marina Expansion
Lucido & Associates on behalf of IM 02 Jensen LLC received approval for an administrative amendment to modify a boat storage building at 2225 NE Indian River Drive in Jensen Beach (Four Fish). The project expands the building footprint from 42,500 square feet to 44,400 square feet and includes restoration of existing dock facilities containing 22 wet slips north of the county’s public boat ramp park.

Palm City Medical and Equestrian Projects
A 7,000-square-foot medical office building is under review for the southwestern corner of SW Martin Highway and SW Berry Avenue in Palm City. Cotleur & Hearing on behalf of 2430 SW Martin HWY, LLC is seeking approval for the development on a 1.14-acre undeveloped site.
An approximately 8.72-acre equestrian facility at 4903 SE Quail Hollow Street is proposed for redevelopment into an animal rescue service operation facility by The American Humane Association, Inc.
Stuart Mixed-Use Building
A 4,800-square-foot, two-story mixed-use building is proposed for 3258 SE Birch Avenue in Stuart. Mathers Engineering Corporation on behalf of Birch Ave, LLC is seeking approval to construct 2,400 square feet of retail use on the first floor and three 800-square-foot apartment units on the second floor, resulting in a density of 6 units per acre on the currently vacant 0.25-acre site.
Hobe Sound Community Redevelopment
The Boys & Girls Club of Martin County is seeking revised final site plan approval to redevelop its Hobe Sound facility. The existing facility would be demolished and replaced with a 28,142-square-foot building. That includes programming space, teen center, and gymnasium, along with an 800-square-foot field house, modified soccer field, parking areas, and garden space.
