Mexico Beach devastated
Mexico Beach, Fl- The images coming out of the panhandle confirm what was feared: an area devastated by Hurricane Michael. Homes shattered. Vehicles crushed. Communities devastated.
Michael intensified overnight Tuesday into Wednesday catching many residents off guard.
By that time, it was too late for people to evacuate as areas in the Florida Panhandle were already feeling tropical storm like winds
Michael has moved back into the Atlantic. It’s currently a post tropical cyclone with wind speeds of 65mph located off the coast of Virginia. It’s moving to the east at nearly 30mph, and is expected to be over by Europe as early as Monday. But Michael will be remembered as one of the strongest storms to ever make landfall in the United States.
Mexico Beach, FL is unrecognizable after Hurricane Michael
