Men from High Speed Chase Appear Before Judge

Two men arrested in connection to a high-speed chase that reached across three counties appeared before a judge in St. Lucie County Wednesday.

Delroy Cole of Boynton Beach and James Earl Fredrick are being held on drug charges for the moment.

The two appeared in court in St. Lucie County via closed circuit television.

Cole told the judge he didn’t know the driver and just got out of prison. Fredrick, the driver, said he called 9-1-1 because he was afraid for his life during the chase.  He’s being held on possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and has gun-related charges out of Palm Beach County.

At this time there are no direct charges for the actual chase which stuck mainly to a route along I-95 northbound before ending in a neighborhood in Fort Pierce.
