DRIVER OF JEEP WHO CRASHED INTO HOME, THEN FLED ON FOOT IS ARRESTED
The driver of a Jeep that crashed into a Jensen Beach home causing thousands of dollars in damage was located and arrested today—weeks after driving the same Jeep seen lodged in this structure.
52-year old Brian Richard Allen is the owner of the Jeep, but denied being involved in the crash. He began driving his vehicle once it was returned back to him by the insurance company. Today, Deputy Eric Day, who was able to obtain a warrant for Allen’s arrest in the case, was on Indian River Drive when Allen drove right past him. The deputy made a traffic stop and took Allen into custody.
The night of the crash, witnesses said they saw a man and woman jump out of the vehicle and take off after crashing into the home located in Ocean Breeze Park. Through investigative means, Deputy Day was able to put Allen behind the wheel the night of the crash– and secured three warrants for his arrest. Allen was taken to the Martin County Jail and charged with leaving the scene of a crash with property damage. The crash caused so much damage to the home, the couple who lived there was displaced until repairs could be made. Fortunately they were not injured.
