It happened on a large piece of property — located at 25801 SW Martin Highway just after 7:00am. Sergeant Carmine Diapalo responded to the call. When he arrived he saw the 24-year old rancher in a fetal position near a body of water. The bull was standing over the injured man and was acting extremely aggressive. In order to rescue Him, Sgt. Diapalo fired three shots killing the bull. The rancher is an experienced and very popular rancher in our agricultural community was seriously injured. He was flown to a local hospital.
