Stuart, FL – The Florida Department of Education released Federal Graduation Rates today for the 2014-2015 school year. The report shows that the Martin County School District’s federal graduation rate is 88.9%, a slight increase over the 2013-2014 rate which was 88.8%.
The report also shows that Martin County’s 2014-2015 Federal Graduation Rate is the fifth highest among Florida’s 67 school districts and is significantly above Florida’s state average of 77.8%.
The Martin County School District has three traditional high schools: Jensen Beach High School, Martin County High School, and South Fork High School; and one charter high school: Clark Advanced Learning Center. The graduation rates for the District also include data from special schools Spectrum Junior/Senior High and Willoughby Learning Center.
“I am ecstatic about the work being done in our schools to improve the graduation rate as it demonstrates the commitment of the Martin County School District to all students,” said Superintendent Laurie J. Gaylord. “I am so proud of our students, parents, and staff for their hard work. The successful completion of high school is not only an opportunity for the future of our students, but also a benefit for our entire community.”
