This was the Notice on the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office Facebook Page:
NEED TO FIND HIS HOME
To whom it may concern:
You are hereby notified that the following described livestock;
One Flaxen mane and tail stud mini horse is now impounded at Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office Animal Control.
If the above livestock is not redeemed within 3 days from the date hereof, it shall be offered for adoption, auction, or disposed of humanely.
Dated this 15th day of November, 2016.
The Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office Animal Control says they may have identified the owner of the mini horse, named “Little Sammy.” The extremely adorable mini pony was found roaming on various properties. The Sheriff’s Office said it escaped its pen. Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office Animal Control officers took the pony into their possession, but if the pony is not claimed by today it could go up for adoption, auction, or be euthanized.
(Editor’s note: I really hope that Sammy is claimed or someone can adopt him.)
