Largest Drug Bust in St Lucie County History

Members of the Special Investigation Unit served a search warrant on a house in the 2400 block of South 13th Street in Fort Pierce.

They located more than 600 grams of heroin and Fentanyl.

Street value of this amount exceeds $300,000. This is the largest heroin-related drug bust in the history of the Sheriff’s Office.

Arrested, was Sharonn Albury, 31, a federal career offender. He now faces 30 years to life in prison.

Also found inside the home was a loaded handgun and shotgun.

“I committed that our agency would track, search out, and dismantle the heroin operations wreaking havoc throughout our county,” said Sheriff Ken J. Mascara. “Tonight brings us one step closer to reaching that goal and should send a message to all those who may still be out there selling…we will find you and we will stop you.”
