Keep All Aboard Florida Off Our Tracks
Without money, All Aboard Florida stops. Without money, Citizens Against The Train stops fighting. So, we need your help.
The Fight Is Working
We’ve spent more than $200,000 battling All Aboard Florida for almost two years. Our CATT website attracts 18,000 viewers weekly seeking information. Our Facebook postings are being viewed by an average of 100,000 people every week. Our efforts have generated 8,500 DEIS letters to governmental agencies and legislators, 1,100 “thank you” letters to County Commissioners for their opposition support and 550 letters to local media executives urging more truthful reporting about AAF. As a result, AAF has been delayed and recently investors rejected the AAF high-yield bond offering as too risky.
Now’s The Time To Increase Pressure
All Aboard Florida and its parent company, Fortress Investment Group, Inc. (FIG: NYSE), are scrambling to obtain the funding needed to complete their plans. At the same time, the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) is being rigorously challenged on several fronts. This has delayed the issuance of the Record of Decision (ROD) by the Federal Railroad Administration affirming the findings in the FEIS. Our belief is that AAF is not a done deal.
