IRC sheriff’s deputy shares story of brave rescue of man from burning car
Indian River County Deputy David Dozer’s rescue was caught on his own dash cam. He rushed to the scene when a witness called in on a 911 call. He was able to see a right hand and he just went in and grabbed him and laid him on the concrete. He went back to check for anyone else. Then the entire car went up on flames.
911 call
The driver was transported by air to the Orlando Burn Center where he’s still being treated.
Dozer, a 26-year law enforcement veteran, says he doesn’t consider himself a hero he was just doing what he was trained to do.
