The Hobe Sound Nature Center begins their naturalist-led trail hikes at the Hobe Sound National Wildlife Refuge on Thursday, January 7th at 9:30 a.m. The weekly hikes will be held each Thursday morning until March 31st No reservations are required to attend and participants should meet in the exhibit hall.
Explore the banks of the Indian River Lagoon, walk through a coastal hammock to the sand pine scrub. These coastal habitats are home to a wide variety of native wildlife, including manatees, ospreys, gopher tortoises, scrub lizards and indigo snakes.
