Motorcyclists Captured After High Speed Chase
A motorcycle rider is facing charges this morning after leading lawmen on a high speed chase.
Stuart Police received a report of a reckless motorcycle on U S one Thursday.
A police officer tried to pull over the motorcycle rider, but the rider had other ideas.
Police identified the rider as Robert Tosado Jr. and say Tosado tossed a bag of marijuana during the chase which ended when he was forced off I-95 by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.
Lawmen say Tosado Jr. was seen texting while riding hands free.
The marijuana was recovered along with the motorcycle.
Tosado Jr. was taken to the Martin County Jail charged with fleeing and eluding a law enforcement officer, tampering with evidence and possession of marijuana.
