Harbourside Place in Jupiter
If you think it may be loud now, just wait. It could get louder at Harbourside Place.
The new dining and shopping complex in Jupiter wants to have more events that could exceed the noise limits already in place.
When bands play at the outdoor amphitheatre at Harbourside, the music and drums are easily heard by residents who live across the water in a wealthy development called Waters Edge Estates.
Now Harbourside wants to turn things up a notch. In a proposal submitted to the town of Jupiter, Harbourside wants to increase the number of events where they could exceed the noise level set by the town if they are granted a special permit. They also want to be allowed to have outdoor music performances on some nights as late as 12 midnight.
Currently the music has to end at 10pm.
The Jupiter Town Council could consider the matter in November or December.
