Members of the St Lucie County Sheriff’s Office STAR Team assisted the Family Meals, Inc. non-profit organization in delivering Thanksgiving meal kits to families throughout the county.
Family Meals, Inc. provides meal kits with fresh, unprepared ingredients and encourages families to prepare the meal together. The project began three years ago providing 20 meals and has grown to more than 1,000 this year.
All ingredients are purchased from fundraisers held throughout the community and volunteers assemble the meal kits and deliver them to families identified throughout the year.
