A Sheriff’s deputy killed in a car accident last week was remembered yesterday in Fort Pierce. The ceremony for Deputy Alan Ross was held at Westside Baptist Church; the same church where the funeral for St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office’s Sgt. Gary Morales was held
St. Lucie County Sheriff Ken Mascara spoke at the funeral. Ross’ boss Captain William Lawhorn also gave a eulogy.
The focus of Ross’ life was his family–his wife Joyce, a sheriff’s office employee as well, and his children Blake and his son AJ.
Ross died last week when his car ran off the highway and struck a pole.
Deputy Ross was laid to rest at White City Cemetery.
