Daylight Saving Time Forever in Florida?

A proposal soon to be heard at the Florida State Capitol would keep the state on daylight saving time forever.

Appropriately, the bill is named, “The Sunshine Protection Act”.

When the rest of the country adjusts their clocks, Florida will not.

The author of the bill is Rep. Kristin Jacobs from Broward County. Jacobs says the response has been phenomenal from moms to businesses.

In 2008 and 2014, similar bills were introduced, but never become law.

Florida’s next legislative session starts in January.
