Coraline! HSTC Pet of the week!
My name is Coraline and I am named for the wonderful Neil Gaiman story by the same name. How did I earn my name? Due to some issues with my eyes they look like buttons; just like some of the characters in the story have! My eyes are not causing me any noticeable pain at this time. However, I can’t see a darn thing. I really appreciate it when people talk to me and let me know what is going on around me.
I’m also FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) positive. A lot of humans find this diagnosis to be a bit scary; however, I can live a long, happy life just like any other cat. If you have any questions about what it means to adopt an FIV positive cat, please talk to the HSTC staff; they can tell you all about it.
As if I didn’t have enough going on with being blind and FIV positive, I am also 9 years old. While I still have plenty of life left in me, most people are hesitant to adopt a senior cat. I came in to the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast as a stray, so the staff doesn’t really know anything about my past.
All I want is a home and family to call my very own. Are you’re the perfect home for me?
