It was a controversial issue last night in Stuart.
On one side, you have residents wanting a quiet living.
On the other side, restaurants and bar owners who worry that a strict noise ordinance will kill business.
The Stuart City Commission tried to pass a noise ordinance proposal and decided to put together a commission made up of residents, bar owners and restaurant owners. They are going to try and come up with something over the next few months to make people on all sides of the issue happy.
