City of Fort Pierce Commissioners Seek Applications for City Boards

The Fort Pierce City Commission recently established a Limited Charter Review Commission via Resolution 17-R17.   The specific task of the Commission is to make recommendations regarding any and all issues related to the provisions of the Article XII of the City Charter regarding the Fort Pierce Utilities Authority.   Members must be either city residents or a St. Lucie County resident and FPUA rate payer.  One (1) Committee member shall be appointed by each City Commissioner and the Mayor.  Two (2) alternate members shall be appointed by majority vote of the City Commission.  Any qualified individual is encouraged to submit an application. This must happen no later August 23, 2017 for consideration to serve on the Charter Review Commission.
 
Applications are being accepted for the City Planning Board.  This advisory board is essential in reviewing and influencing the management of growth in Fort Pierce. Their efforts foster the development of communities and neighborhoods that have a distinct character and identity. It offers the best possible conditions in which to live, work, shop, and play.  Members must be a city resident for at least two years.  Any qualified individual is encouraged to submit an application no later than August 16, 2017.
