Breakfast with Santa

FORT PIERCE – Santa will soon take a break from his Christmas preparations to enjoy breakfast with St. Lucie County residents of all ages.

On Saturday, December 5, 2015, organizers of the Fort Pierce Police Department Explorer Post 477 inaugural “Pancake Breakfast with Santa” are inviting families to ring in the holiday season by starting their day the merry way with a visit and picture with Santa. The breakfast, featuring pancakes, eggs, and a beverage, will be served from 8 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Historic Arcade located at 101 North U.S. Highway 1 in beautiful Downtown Fort Pierce.

For the event, the Arcade will be transformed into a wintery wonderland showcasing several decorated trees which will be included in a Christmas Tree Silent Auction. The trees, donated by local businesses and decorated by area artists, will be on display for bidding during the breakfast.

Tickets are $7.00 and $3.00 for children 4 years and younger. They are available at the Fort Pierce Police Department Main Station Duty Office located at 920 South U.S. Highway 1, Fort Pierce, Florida, and the Tobacco Emporium located at 223 Orange Avenue, Fort Pierce, Florida. Tickets can also be purchased by contacting Fort Pierce Police Officer Damian Spotts at 772-370-0065.

While families meet with Santa, they will have an opportunity to take a picture with good Ole’ Saint Nick for $4.00.

All proceeds from the breakfast and auction will benefit Explorer Post 477, said Spotts, a Post 477 advisor.

“Explorer Post 477 is an awesome program that allows high school students a hands on, real life experience of what it takes to pursue a career in law enforcement,” he said. “Every year the explorers volunteer countless hours helping local organizations with their events, community cleanups, and participating in training and competitions among other things. The funds would be used towards the purchase of a new van. The new van would help us to transport the explorers to different events, since the majority of them do not drive.”

For more information on this event, please contact Fort Pierce Police Officer Damian Spotts at 772-370-0065. Tickets will also be available at the door.
