The man told authorities his boat capsized in about 50 feet of water around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.
The Coast Guard and SeaTow followed a debris trail in the water until they saw a flashing light. Rescue teams followed the light from a flashlight when they found a man in a life-jacket, clinging to a cooler. He was not hurt.
The Coast Guard said the life-jacket, cooler and flashlight saved the man’s life.
