Bicyclist killed in Jensen Beach hit-and-run
JENSEN BEACH, Fla. -A man on a bicycle is dead after being struct by a car in Martin County.
It happened Monday night near Greenriver Parkway and Jensen Beach Blvd.The time was around 7:48 according to FHP.
Steven G. Nichols was riding his Trek Bike northbound in the inside land on the shoulder. The automobile was traveling northbound just south of Jensen Beach Blvd. The automobile struck the bicycle and then left the scene.
Deputies say Steven Nichols was rushed to the hospital where he later died.
The driver left the scene and has not been arrested.
The investigation is ongoing.
