The benches stolen from a local restaurant have been recovered.
Two custom benches worth over $600 each were stolen from the Mulligan’s Beach house in Jensen Beach the day after Christmas.
On New Years Eve an anonymous tip led the Martin County Sheriff’s Office out to a wooded area not far from the restaurant.
There deputies found the benches exactly where the caller described.
The benches were returned to the establishment in good condition.
The tip saved the restaurant a substantial replacement cost, while saving a thief a grand theft charge.
