Authorities want to know who is responsible after a Vero Beach man is killed after a hit-and-run.
The Florida Highway Patrol says 55-year old Daniel Letts was walking in the northbound lane of 20th Avenue Friday night. Troopers say he was then hit from behind and thrown into the middle of the road.
Investigators say the vehicle involved took off and left him there.
A short time later, troopers say, another car hit him. The driver of that car stopped and called 9-1-1. Letts died at the scene.
