Vendors Sought for St. Lucie Master Gardener Plant Sale Returning May 6-7

FORT PIERCE – The St. Lucie County Cooperative Extension Office and the UF/IFAS Master Gardener Volunteer will hold their Spring Plant Sale on Friday, May 6 and Saturday, May 7 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the St. Lucie County Extension Office, 8400 Picos Road, Fort Pierce.

A special plant sale for our community members who may need some extra time in the plant nursery to shop will be offered on Thursday, May 5 from 10 a.m. to noon.  We will have helpful Master Gardener Volunteers that can assist you if you use a scooter, wheelchair, walker or just need a little extra help getting around.

We are looking for craft, art, plant, flower and herb vendors who would like to participate in this event. Please contact Master Gardener Volunteer Program Specialist Danielle Shalginewicz at DShalginewicz@ufl.edu or 772-462-1445 to secure your space or for questions. We look forward to having you be part of our event.

The main event will feature the Cool Beanz food truck, fun things for the children and chances to win prizes. Check the St. Lucie Master Gardener’s Facebook page for more information www.facebook.com/SLCMGV

The money raised during our plant sale will go toward horticulture and educational programs as well as scholarships to students who have been accepted into a Florida college and plan to follow a course in horticulture, environmental science, agriculture or any related fields.
