Dog rescued, man accused of burning house in Vero Beach
Vero Beach, Fl (treasurecoast.com) – A Vero Beach man is in the county jail facing charges that include arson of a structure and cruelty to animals, among others, after witnesses identified him as the person who burnt down a house on Caribbean Circle Tuesday afternoon.

Travis Tanner Pippin , 36, of the 1900 block of 35th Ave., Vero Beach, was identified as the man pouring fuel on the property and setting it on fire with a blow torch. The arson was captured in photos and video.
Investigators learned that Pippin knew a dog was in the home when the fire was started, which led to the cruelty to animals charge. Pippin is known to the home’s owners.
The house was a total loss.
Pippin is being held in lieu of $75,000 bond and faces additional charges that include trespass on property and resisting arrest without violence.
