Fort Pierce PD suspend search for man who jumped off South Causeway Bridge
Ft Pierce, FL- U.S. Coast Guard crews, Fort Pierce police and the St. Lucie County Air Unit and Dive team are looking for a man who jumped off the South Causeway Bridge into the Intracoastal. Police officers and a bystander spotted the man about 200 yards east of the Manatee Center. But when they swam out to rescue the man, they lost sight of him.
According to the Fort Pierce Police Department, officers suspended the search at 3:30 a.m. due to dangerous water search conditions.

Search for unidentifued man, who jumped off Seaway Bridge, suspended at 3:30 a.m. today due to dangerous water search conditions. Officers responded at 9:30 p.m. 4/3 and tried to rescue man. FP Marine Unit, USCG, SLCSO Air 1Unit and Dive Team joined effort.
