Locals were excited when the brand new 33,000-square-foot club opened in St. Lucie West because it brought more than a dozen courts to the area. The Pickleball Club at St. Lucie West has 12 indoor courts and two outdoor courts. The outdoor courts are covered, making it comfortable in the Florida sun.

The Pickleball Club at St. Lucie West also has table tennis, bocce ball, corn hole, long areas, and locker rooms. The indoor amenities at the facility are top-notch. It’s an incredible facility and adds to the pickleball scene in Port St. Lucie.

The court is private and offers different membership levels depending on how often members want to play. The club has annual or seasonal memberships. Monthly dues for annual members are $125 for singles, $250 for couples, and $50 for youth. Seasonal memberships are pricier at $150 for singles and $300 for couples. An annual membership fee of at least $500 is also required to become a member.

The club is also undergoing an expansion. The site is 16 acres but will expand to 24 acres, adding 16 individual pickleball courts. Eight of the courts will be covered. Riverland Sports & Racquet Club is a fantastic venue and a great place to work on becoming a better pickleball player. It’s a dream for pickleball fans, with well-lit, immaculate courts in a great location.

PGA Village Verano

PGA Village Verano is one of the best places to play tennis and pickleball in Port St. Lucie. In 2020, the American Sports Builders Association named the courts the best outdoor pickleball facility of the year. The award-winning state-of-the-art courts at Verano have gained high ratings from locals and were called the “pickleball capital of South Florida” by the Palm Beach Post. The Village was also the host of the World Pickleball Open. The courts are private but worth the investment for players who want to enjoy the sport at a world-class facility. Tesoro Club

The Tesoro Club’s luxurious atmosphere makes it a top place to play pickleball in Port St. Lucie. The Tesoro Club is a premier gated community in Port St. Lucie with beautiful facilities and superb amenities.  The club has six outdoor pickleball courts nestled on a lake. The game has been so popular with Tesoro Club members that the community is constructing five more courts with lighting so that club members can play the game in the evening.

The Tesoro Club is a private club, meaning visitors must either be members or guests of members. The club offers full membership and social membership. Membership packages are available for residents and non-residents and include full access to the club’s golf, racquet, swim, fitness, social programs, and pickleball courts. MIDFLORIDA Event Center

Although the event center doesn’t have a standard pickleball court, there are designated areas inside the center for people to play the sport. Six courts are available, and a one-time fee is required to play: $3 per person. Visitors can play pickleball on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM. The schedule changes in the summer, and a pickleball court is set up on Sunday and Friday from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

Beginners can also sign up for pickleball classes. The classes teach participants all the basics of pickleball, including foundational shots, servings, navigating the transition zone, movement, and strategy. The class lasts for eight weeks and is $140.  People who are interested in playing at the event center have to book a reservation in person, as online registration is not available.
