A 17-year-old found unresponsive in a pool in Fort Pierce Thursday has died.
The incident happened around 9 a.m. in the family’s pool at a home on Sea Grape Drive in Indian River Estates.
Neighbors said the victim, Victoria Martin, was developmentally disabled.
She died at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center.
St. Lucie County Fire Rescue says the drowning appears to be an accident.
