Utility Systems hosts annual Best Tasting Drinking Water Contest |
What: Florida Section American Water Works Association (FSAWWA) Region
VIII 2022 Best Tasting Drinking Water Contest
When: Wednesday, March 16 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: Port St. Lucie Community Center, 2195 SE Airoso Blvd.
Who: Port St. Lucie Utility Systems, in conjunction with Florida Section American Water Works Association (FSAWWA)
Why: Utilities from Region VIII, which includes Glades, Highlands, Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee, and St. Lucie counties, will compete to see whose drinking water is the best. A winner and runner-up will be chosen.
Details: Entries will be judged on taste, color, clarity and smell. This year’s judges are Lyn Lane, COE Certified Ophthalmic Executive and Administrator at St. Lucie Eye; Valerie Nixon, Licensed Skin Care Specialist; and Lydia Weil-Fried, Bartendress at Pierced Ciderworks. In 2018, Port St. Lucie Utility Systems was named the Best Tasting Drinking Water Runner-Up.
