Investigators say two sisters died in a tragic crash on I-95 near the Martin County exit Saturday night. The two sisters were driving south on I-95 when they were struck head on by a car driving in the wrong direction.

The two sisters, 24-year-old Alexis Musumeci and 23-year-old Brittany Musumeci were driving in the inside lane of the interstate in a 2007 Toyota Matrix when they were hit head on by a Jeep Cherokee.

Both vehicles burst into flames. The two sisters died at the scene of the accident and the driver of the Cherokee was pulled from his vehicle and currently remains in critical condition at the hospital.

No word on if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
