TreasureCoast: Potentially wet and rainy weekend on the way
Be prepared for another potentially wet and rainy weekend. A trough of low pressure is likely to develop into a tropical depression as it heads over the Bahamas and South Florida. The storm could even strengthen into a tropical storm. An Air Force Reserve reconnaissance aircraft is scheduled to investigate the system this afternoon, if necessary. Meanwhile, a tropical wave just west of the Cabo Verde islands. It could develop into a tropical depression early next week as it continues to move west. The National Hurricane Center gives the storm a 40% chance of developing over the next 5 days.
