TRAFFIC STOP RESULTS IN GUN SEIZURE
On April 21, 2016, at approximately 6:30 p.m., members of the Crime Suppression Unit and Alcohol Tobacco & Firearms observed defendant Antonio Jerome Thomas in the area of N. 13th Street and Avenue K. Detectives had four outstanding warrants on Thomas for sale & delivery and possession of cocaine. They conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle Thomas was driving. Thomas was immediately taken into custody without incident. Detectives and ATF Agents then executed a search warrant on Thomas’ residence located at 1400 Ave I, Apartment B. They seized narcotics and firearms that were found inside of the residence. The seizure consisted of :
Zastava Serbia 762×39 caliber (AK-47 style pistol)
Keltec 5.56 mm (AR-15 style pistol) with a loaded 100 drum magazine
Springfield XD .40 caliber
Smith Wesson .38 caliber
2 grams Cocaine
0.5 grams MDMA
Thomas was charged with the four (4) counts of Possession with Intent to Sell, Manufacture, or Deliver a Controlled Substance, three (3) counts of Possession of Cocaine, and two (2) counts of Possession with Intent to Sell, Manufacture, or Deliver a Synthetic Narcotic.
