Thousands of Mets fans enjoy opening day at Clover Park
Port St. Lucie, Fl (treasurecoast.com)- Thousands of Mets fans decked out in orange and blue lined up Saturday morning in Port St. Lucie for the ribbon cutting ceremony for the newly renovated spring training facility.
The team welcomed fans and gave them their first look at the brand new Clover Park.

Improvements included replacing all 7,000 seats, building an expanded entry area, a team store, ticket office, and brand new locker rooms and weight rooms for the players.
The renovation of what used to be First Data Field is part of a deal that will allow Port St. Lucie to remain the spring training home of the Mets through 2042.
