Stolen Gun Recovered on Traffic Stop, Passenger Arrested by Detectives
Port St.Lucie, Fl (treasurecoast.com)- The Port St. Lucie Police have reported that a stolen gun was recovered on a traffic stop and a passenger was arrested by detectives.
This is what happened:
18-Year-Old Talique Rivera of Port St. Lucie was arrested Friday night after Detectives stopped a vehicle he was a passenger in and recovered a stolen SCCY 9mm firearm. Detectives observed the vehicle driving on Saint Lucie West Blvd without any headlights activated and pulled the vehicle over.
Rivera did not have a concealed weapons permit and tried to hide the gun in the glove box but it was locked, prompting him to place it under his seat in an attempt to conceal it. The purple firearm was previously reported stolen in May of this year.

Special Investigations Division Detectives arrested Rivera and he was taken to the St. Lucie County jail for grand theft of a firearm, carrying a concealed firearm and possession of marijuana.
