St Lucie Sheriff’s Office Investigating Drive-By Shooting
Sheriff Ken Mascara announced that deputies and detectives are investigating a drive-by shooting that took place Sunday evening and left 21-year-old John’nethia Robinson dead and injured one other.
According to the Sheriff, multiple 9-1-1 calls came in at 7:34 p.m. Sunday evening stating that a woman was laying unresponsive in front of 3000 Tropic Blvd.
“Our deputies were on scene within minutes and confirmed that Robinson was dead from multiple gunshot wounds,” Sheriff Ken J. Mascara. “A second male victim was transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.”
According to the Sheriff, anyone with information about this incident is asked to call detectives at (772) 462-3230 or Treasure Coast Crime Stoppers at (800) 273-8477.
“Our thoughts are with the family of John’nethia Robinson and our efforts are concentrated on finding her killer,” Mascara said. “This investigation is in the very early stages and when more can be shared, we will certainly do so.”
