St. Lucie Extension Offers Vegetable Gardening in Florida Workshop Aug. 2

FORT PIERCE – New to Florida and curious about vegetable gardening in the Sunshine State? Learn about the UF/IFAS research-based practices that can make vegetable gardening fun and accessible here in our area on Wednesday, Aug. 2 from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the UF/IFAS Hurricane House, located at 8350 Picos Road.

This presentation will be provided by UF/IFAS Extension St. Lucie County Urban Horticulture Agent Kate Rotindo. Topics will include timing, varieties and practices essential to success in a Florida vegetable garden. Registered participants will receive a UF/IFAS Florida Vegetable Gardening Guide printout and a packet of seeds.
