St. Lucie County Parks, Recreation, Facilities Offering CPR Classes
FORT PIERCE – St. Lucie County’s Parks, Recreation and Facilities Department is offering American Red Cross life-safety classes this fall. These hands-on training sessions teach valuable skills that could save someone’s life when it matters most.
- Adult CPR/AED (Automated External Defibrillators) Training will be held Wednesday, Oct. 7 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Havert L. Fenn Center, 2000 Virginia Ave. The cost is $70.
- Child/Infant CPR/AED Training is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 18 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Havert L. Fenn Center, 2000 Virginia Ave. The cost is $70.
- Adult CPR (Hands-on only) is slated for Wednesday, Dec. 16 from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Havert L. Fenn Center, 2000 Virginia Ave. The cost is $10. No certificate is issued for this class.
These courses feature a combination of classroom work and hands-on exercises. Please dress comfortably as the training will include kneeling on the floor at times. Face shields will be included for your use. Upon successful completion of these courses, you will receive a certification from the American Red Cross, which will be valid for two years.
