SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY ON THE TREASURE COAST

Downtown Fort Pierce

Main Street Fort Pierce and the Downtown Business Alliance is hosting its 4th annual Shop Small Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., where residents could win a shopping spree.

Shoppers can pick up a “passport” from Notions & Potions, at 116 N. Second St., and mark off various restaurants, galleries and retail stores residents visit throughout the day, said event organizer Beryl Muise.

Martin County

The Stuart Martin Chamber of Commerce isn’t doing anything specific on Small Business Saturday, but the holiday overlaps in its ongoing “Shop Martin” program.

Through Nov. 30, residents can shop at participating local businesses — including Ellie’s Downtown Deli, Tootsies Shoes Pedicures & More or Peter’s Hardware Centers — and submit a picture of their receipt of at least $25 in an online form to be entered drawings throughout the campaign.

Stuart Main Street also doesn’t have any events planned but recently hosted, and completely sold out, its inaugural “Downtown Dollars” initiative. Residents could purchase $50 in Downtown Dollars and earn an extra $10 to spend at any of the participating businesses in Downtown Stuart.

Downtown Vero Beach

Main Street Vero Beach has a whole “Merry Main Street” weekend of activities planned to encourage residents to support local businesses.

Downtown Friday kicks off the weekend, with an outdoor event of about 65 local vendors along 14th Avenue from 6 to 9 p.m. with food, drinks and live music, said the nonprofit’s executive director Susan Gromis.
