Sheriff’s Office Investigates Double Shooting at Cypress Bay Mobile Home Park

Sheriff Ken J. Mascara announces that at approximately 12:45 a.m., sheriff’s deputies were called out to Cypress Bay Mobile Home Park, located at 6401 North U.S. Highway 1 in Fort Pierce in reference to a shooting.
According to the Sheriff, one male adult was shot and killed and another was shot and wounded.
The wounded male was transported to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center and Heart Institute; he is currently in surgery, Sheriff Mascara said. At this time it does not appear that the men were residents of the mobile home park.
Sheriff’s Office detectives are currently interviewing witnesses. No suspect information is available at this time. Additional information will be provided when it becomes available.
