Officers Catch Shoplifters in the Act and Recover Over $15,000 in Stolen Medicine, Beauty Products and Toiletries

Earlier this week, PSLPD Officers responded to the Walgreens on SW Prima Vista Blvd for a retail theft. The suspects had already made 1 trip to their vehicle with tote bags filled of stolen merchandise when they returned inside to steal more items. This time though, Officers arrived on scene and apprehended them in the store while still in the act.

Officers and Detectives found over $15,000 of medicine, beauty products and toiletries in the suspect’s rental vehicle which was stolen from multiple Walgreens and CVS locations the same day on the Treasure Coast.

27-year-old Asia Philmore and 26-year-old Jacquilla Morris, both of South Florida, were arrested and taken to jail for 2 counts of felony grand theft and 2 counts of felony retail theft. Detectives are working closely with other law enforcement agencies to identify all the stores where the merchandise was stolen from. Additional criminal charges will be forthcoming.
