PSLPD seek help identifying theft by fraud suspect

Port St. Lucie, Fl (treasurecoast.com)- The Port St Lucie Police seek help identifying a theft by fraud suspect.

On Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at 6:09 pm, Walmart located at 1675 NW St Lucie West Blvd reported a fraud loss of $2,226.53.

Loss Prevention reported that the pictured suspect entered the store on Wednesday, June 24th, 2020 at around 11:23 am, and using social engineering techniques was able to access three registers multiple times within the store to create $200 gift card transactions. Video was recovered of the suspect’s actions and it was determined that Register #71 was short $1239.84, Register #72 was short $779.83 and Register #77 was short $206.86; total loss of $2,226.53.

The suspect exited the store at around 5:54 pm by jumping over the north side gate of the garden section. Walmart Loss Prevention reported there have been multiple incidents in Florida and Southern Georgia by a similar suspect.
