PSLPD Officers rescue driver after her vehicle overturns
Port St Lucie. Fl (treasurecoast.com) – At approximately 1:30am on March 24, 2021 Port St Lucie Police Officers responded to SW Galiano Rd/ SW Cadima St in reference to a single vehicle roll over accident.

The vehicle was upside down in a small retention pond. The driver reported water was entering her vehicle.
Arriving first on scene and without hesitation, Officers Doty, Fry, and Durbin removed their gear and jumped into the water. The driver, who was now in the back seat, did not initially respond to the Officers. Officer Doty was able to open the front passenger door and make contact with the driver. She was able to crawl to the front of the vehicle and Officer Doty carried her to safety. Officers Fry and Durbin made sure there were no other passengers in the vehicle.
The driver escaped serious injury and went home.
