PSLPD Investigating the Stabbing Death of a 48-Year-Old Woman
Port St. Lucie, Fl (treasurecoast.com) – The PSLPD is investigating the stabbing death of a 48-year-old woman.
On February 26, 2022, at 3:10am, the Port St. Lucie Police Department responded to the 3600-Blk of SW Masilunas St regarding a death investigation.
Officers learned a 40-year-old man called an individual and left a concerning voice message. This message prompted that individual to go to the residence and conduct a welfare check on the man and a woman. The individual arrived at the house and located the 40-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman inside the residence with apparent knife wounds. The individual called 911 and PSLPD Officers responded.
The 48-year-old woman was pronounced deceased on scene. The 40-year-old male suspect was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition there. PSLPD’s Criminal Investigation Division and Crime Scene Unit responded and are conducting a thorough investigation, collecting evidence, and processing the scene. Detectives believe the suspect stabbed the woman to death with a knife and then sustained self-inflicted knife wounds.
There is no threat to the community at this time. This is an isolated domestic incident and not a random act of violence. PSLPD is currently not looking for any outstanding individuals.
